Hi, I'm Katie. ("The Johnstonator" won't stick.)

When I was a kid, I kept a detailed, color-coded binder full of hand-written facts about every type of dinosaur. I used these facts to act out elaborate dramas with my plastic dinosaur figurines. Now, my job is to use research to write stories. I think that’s pretty cool.

I’ve worked on campaigns for Bud Light, Clorox, Slim Jim, Hidden Valley, Warner Brothers, Brown ’n’ Serve Sausages, MGM Resorts, Fresh Step cat litter, Giovanni Rana, Avon, and Optimum Cable. One of the spots I wrote for Slim Jim was #4 on Spike TV’s Funniest Commercials of 2015, and my mom forgot to TiVo it. 

In my spare time, I make jokes on Twitter, run, hike, foster rescue dogs, and re-watch season 4 episode 8 of The Simpsons , “Marge vs. The Monorail."
